Consensual Non-Consent (CNC)

Also known as “rape play,” CNC is one of the most misunderstood—and most intensely psychological—forms of erotic role-play. It involves acting out scenes where one partner appears to resist or doesn’t consent, while all boundaries, scripts, and limits have been explicitly agreed to ahead of time. The appeal? Power, helplessness, domination, and taboo. The adrenaline rush of what feels wrong—but is so, so right.

For many, CNC is about pushing limits with someone they trust completely. It’s a way to eroticize fear, explore vulnerability, or reclaim control. For others, it’s just damn hot. The key is clarity: CNC requires intense communication, safety measures, and always, always enthusiastic consent—before, during, and after.
